Editorial policy

Standards we hold

Every featured product in the book has been ordered and hands-on tested by our testing team before publication. Scores reflect what we measured and observed, not what the listing claims. Where a listing's stated composition, weight or dimensions disagree with the bench, we publish both numbers and note the discrepancy in the report.

Independence and commercial conduct

We buy at retail through the public Kakobuy agent interface and pay for shipping, agent fees and any domestic forwarding ourselves. No seller, agent or platform has editorial input, pre-publication sight of a score, or the ability to remove a test report. Affiliate links appear on shopping and roundup pages and are labelled; they never appear inside a scored test report.

Authorship and sourcing

Each report carries a byline and links to the author's on-site page. Bench sheets, intake photographs and agent correspondence are retained for 24 months and are available to readers who ask a specific factual question through editorial@bestkakobuysheet.org. We do not publish third-party contact details, private seller information or anything that would identify an individual agent.

Corrections and updates

Published errors are corrected on the page with a dated note, and the correction log is kept with the evidence file. Substantive changes to a score are explained in a short revision note appended to the report body. Our full process is set out on the corrections policy page.
